British heavyweight rivals Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to meet in a long-awaited blockbuster fight expected to take place in November 2026 after both boxers successfully completed their final tune-up bouts.

Fury secured his place in the highly anticipated contest by defeating Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand, on Friday. Wach was unable to continue after the seventh round, handing Fury a technical knockout victory.

Joshua faced a more difficult test against Kristian Prenga at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. The former two-time world champion was knocked down twice in the opening round but recovered strongly to stop Prenga in the second round.

The Ring had earlier reported that Fury and Joshua had signed an agreement to face each other toward the end of 2026. Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and one of boxing’s most influential organisers, confirmed the agreement by declaring that the contest had been signed.

The victories have now cleared the remaining sporting obstacles standing in the way of one of the biggest all-British heavyweight fights in recent history.

Although November has been identified as the expected period for the contest, the organisers have yet to publicly confirm the exact date and venue. Several locations, including London and major venues in the United States, have reportedly been considered.

The proposed showdown will bring together two former heavyweight world champions whose rivalry has developed over several years. Boxing supporters have repeatedly called for the pair to settle their differences in the ring, but previous negotiations failed to produce a final agreement.

With both men now through their preparatory fights, attention will turn to the official announcement of the venue, date, and other details surrounding the Fury-Joshua heavyweight clash.
