The victory gives Spain their second World Cup title, following their first triumph in 2010.

In the third-place playoff, England defeated France 6–4. Bukayo Saka scored a hat-trick, while Kylian Mbappé’s two goals took him to 22 career World Cup goals, making him the competition’s all-time leading scorer.
