
The United States has condemned the deadly attack on a village in Kaduna State, which reportedly left at least 30 people dead, including children.
The condemnation was contained in a statement published on the official Facebook page of the United States Department of State.
According to the statement, the attack occurred during the early hours of July 27. The US government expressed its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
Washington also called on the Nigerian government to intensify efforts to address the recurring violence against Christian communities in the Middle Belt and improve the protection of residents in vulnerable areas.
The latest incident has renewed concerns over persistent insecurity and deadly attacks affecting communities in Kaduna State and other parts of Nigeria’s Middle Belt.
